You’ll check in to your centrally located hotel and begin a three-night stay in the sun-kissed capital of the Côte
d’Azur.

Day 2 Thursday, 6 August 2026 Nice (B)
Today, the stunning seaside surrounds of the French Riviera are yours to explore with your local guide, before
spending the afternoon exploring at leisure.
Included Excursion: City tour of Monaco and Monte Carlo. You will be taken to Monte Carlo for an insightful
tour. Famously portrayed in films that include Never Say Never Again and To Catch a Thief, Monte Carlo offers
much in the way of its charming past. Witness the impressive Prince’s Palace of Monaco, originally a Genoese
fortress with a dramatic past and the home of beloved actress Grace Kelly.

Day 3 Friday, 7 August 2026 Nice (B)
Nice has long held a reputation for its glamour, where sun-kissed beaches and lavish surrounds create a unique
atmosphere that is unlike any other.
Included Morning Excursion: Visit to Saint Paul de Vence. If you love charming villages with a wealth of
historic monuments and art galleries, Saint-Paul-de-Vence is somewhere you should put on your must-see list.
Located in the Alpes-Maritime region along the French Riviera, this medieval village is one of the prettiest hilltop
towns of Provence. Cobbled streets, centuries old buildings, quaint squares, vaulted passageways, arcades and ancient fountains galore make this one of the most loved villages in southern France.

Day 4 Saturday, 8 August 2026 Nice to Arles (B,D)
Transfer from Nice to Arles. Begin your river cruise where you’ll board your luxurious Emerald Cruises Star-Ship.

Day 5 Sunday, 9 August 2026 Arles (B,L,D)
The past is yours to uncover in Arles, a once-important Phoenician trading port that was captured by the
Romans, who peppered the city with iconic monuments.
Included Morning Excursion: Guided tour of Arles with arena visit. Today, your included tour of the city will
showcase some of its UNESCO World Heritage-listed Roman and Romanesque monuments, illustrating how the
city has evolved over the centuries. Visit the 2,000-year-old Arles Amphitheatre and follow in the footsteps of
world-renowned artist, Vincent van Gogh.
Included Afternoon Excursion: Van Gogh workshop. Follow in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh as you
explore the landscapes that inspired his iconic works. Take part in a painting workshop, where you’ll try your
hand at recreating the vibrant scenes that captured the artists imagination. You get to keep your own
masterpiece inspired by Van Gogh’s legacy and bring it home.

Day 6 Monday, 10 August 2026 Avignon (B,L,D)
Avignon has a rich history, from Celtic beginnings to being the residence of seven successive Popes between
1309 and 1377. The city also played a major part central to the French Revolution. Tour the historic Papal city of
Avignon.
Included Morning Excursion: Guided walking tour. Your included walking tour will take you past the ornate
beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Palais des Papes, as well as Pont d’Avignon, an ancient stone
bridge crossing the Rhône.

(NB: included walking tour and canoeing excursion operate at the same time)Included Afternoon Excursion: Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine tasting. Along the length of its winding waters

most celebrated wines during a tasting.

Arrive in Viviers, a town with much Middle Age flair and home to one of France’s oldest cathedrals. Your included
walking tour will highlight many of the city’s numerous spectacular monuments, along with their ornate windows
and lavish façades.

Included Afternoon Excursion: Visit to Chauvet Pont D’Arc. Discovered on Sunday 18 December 1994 by
Jean-Marie Chauvet, Eliette Brunel and Christian Hillaire during a private speleological exploration, the UNESCO
World Heritage Chauvet-Pont d’Arc cave is one of the oldest decorated Palaeolithic caves in the world. Duration:

The picturesque village of Tournon borders the gently meandering Rhône, dominated by a 16th century castle
that overlooks the village and a number of iconic landmarks, including a set of ancient watchtowers.
Included Excursion: Guided tour of Tournon. Your guided tour of the village will showcase its intangible
cultural heritage, granting every opportunity for you to immerse yourself in your surroundings.
